Gain the pivotal skills and confidence needed in building cross-sector engagement and consensus
Does your organisation work with complex social problems which need collaboration with multiple layers of stakeholders? Do many of these stakeholder hold different perspectives and disagreement about the causes and best solutions? In today’s complex environment efficient collaboration and stakeholder engagement is more important than ever to achieve significant social change. Many of the key social problems we are facing are beyond the capacity of any one organisation or sector to respond to effectively. This workshop will help you to gain the pivotal skills and confidence needed in building cross-sector engagement and consensus to solve these ‘wicked problems’.
This Engage for Impact workshop is focussed on community and stakeholder engagement in the context of complex social problems. Working with others can be difficult, costly and take more time than working on your own. However, isolated projects tend to struggle with achieving buy-in and often have less of an impact than more collaborative approaches. The success of many organisations and projects is dependent on their ability to bring people together to work on a common goal. This is why a strategic approach to community engagement is needed. There are many ways of working with others and it is important to decide which one is the most appropriate.
